Q: Does my entry ticket include a hot air balloon ride?

A: No. Tickets include entry into the festival, free parking and shuttle service, kite shows, live music, kids area and fireworks. Tethered rides will be available for an additional cost, and a portion of those sales will benefit the Kyle-Buda Kiwanis Club. Learn more here.

Q: With the construction on Lehman Rd, will the festival take place at Lake Kyle?

A: Yes, the event is taking place at Lake Kyle. Our road contractor is confident that Lake Kyle will be accessible over Labor Day weekend, however, public parking will not be available on the festival grounds. Should anything change, we will communicate in advance on this website and on our social media platforms, newsletters and KYLE 10 channel. Lehman Road will be closed to the public so festival attendees will need to park at one of our various free park and ride lots.

Q: How much does it cost to get into the festival?

Please visit the Tickets page to see a break down of prices. Ordering in advance online is a great value! Children age 10 and under are free.

Q: I already have a ticket. What do I do when I get to the festival site?

A: When you exit the shuttle, go through the Bag Check area, then look for the signs directing festival goers to the appropriate ticket lines. There will be two lines: Ticket Holders and Ticket Purchases.

Q: Where can we park?

A: There is no parking at the festival.  Free parking and shuttles will be located at:

Lehman High School – 1700 Lehman Rd., Kyle, TX 78640
Hays CISD Bus Barn (old site) – 21003 I-35, Kyle, TX 78640
Medical Professionals Building at Seton Hospital – 1180 Seton Parkway, Kyle, TX 78640

From there, you can hop onto a free shuttle to get to the event location.

NOTE: From Friday, Aug. 30-Sunday, Sept. 1, Masonwood Dr. from Fairfield to Lehman Rd. will be closed to all traffic with the exception of residents of that portion of the street. West of Fairfield Dr., parking will only be allowed on the north side of Masonwood Dr. Lehman Rd. will be closed from Hiver to Hailee, with the exception of desginated festival personnel and emergency responders.

Q: Will the shuttles get us to the festival in time for the sunrise mass ascensions?

A: Yes. We recommend arriving at the parking areas by 6:15 a.m. to catch one of the first buses of the day.

Q: Can we purchase tickets for a tethered hot air balloon ride?

A: Yes. Tether rides will be available for purchase on-site. Please click here for more information. (No advance sales.)

Q: Can we bring our pets?

A: Lake Kyle is a nature preserve and pets are not allowed. Please leave your furabies at home.

Q: Will alcohol be sold at the event?

A: Beer, Wine and Liquor will be sold at the event. Cash and Cards will be accepted. ATMs will be located onsite.

Q: Can we bring in coolers?

A: Coolers and outside food will not be allowed into the event. Water and baby bottles will be allowed.

Q: Is there anything additional I should bring?

A: Bug spray and a place to sit, e.g., lawn chairs or blankets. Pop-up tents and beach-style umbrellas are not allowed.

Q: Do activities cost money once I am in the park?

A: Yes. Food, drinks (including those from the bar), vendor booths, and some activities, such as tethered rides, are available in the park for a fee. Many vendors take credit cards. There are also ATMs on site.

Q: Will a church service take place on Sunday at the event?

A: No. No church services will take place at this event.

Q: How can I sign up for Event Updates/Text Alerts?

A. Festival guests will be able to get text alerts with important festival information during the event. Sign-ups will begin the week before the festival. Text “KYLEPIE” to  888-777 to subscribe to event alerts (standard text and messaging rates may apply depending on your cellular provider). Festival goers can also check this website and our social media (including Facebook and Twitter) for event information.

Q: Can we purchase tickets for a tethered hot air balloon ride?
